Mother Teresa’s Simple Path is a path to spirituality, in which the steps build upon each other.
“The fruit of silence is prayer, the fruit of prayer is faith, the fruit of faith is love, the fruit of love is service, the fruit of service is peace.”
According to Teresa (and her book with the same title, A Simple Path)
- You intentionally create silence.
- In silence, you’ll turn to your inner world and start to interact with it - in other words, you’ll start to pray.
- Prayer will birth spiritual experiences, which will form or reinforce your faith.
- Faith, or spiritual experiences will soothe your ego and bring you closer to others.
- The love for others will motivate you to serve others.
- In service, you turn your attention away from your own suffering, and so you find peace.

- Brené Brown’s interpretation of love (you can’t love others more than how much you love yourself) is in contradiction with Teresa’s way of turning away from ourselves to find love. 202403021909 A szolgálat gyümölcse a béke vs először önmagadat kell szeretned
