Lie to survive is a tactics I never learned.
Lie to survive means:
- when you, a female are alone and an unfamiliar male with bad vibes comes over and asks if you live near, if you are alone, etc, you lie
- no, you are not alone, you are just waiting for a male figure (a boyfriend, a dad, some brothers) to arrive shortly
- no, you don’t live near, you are here just for a couple days to visit your male relative
- this prevents you to be labeled as an easy target
- this helps to stay kind and conversational and deescalate the situation
Dannah Eve, who shared this on her instagram, mentioned that both of her parents instilled this in her at a young age. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DFSoAddpmJg/?hl=en
My parents on the other hand instilled the value of honesty in me, so when I stay kind and conversational, I share and overshare, and tell the truth.
