During a Bob Doto: A System for Writing bookclub, Chris Aldrich mentioned the idea of “writing into a small box”.
Whether it’s writing into a chat window, a comment box, or on an A6 notecard, it’s easier and more natural to write, than facing The Blank Page.
My experiences are aligned with this idea: it’s way easier to talk about something in chat or phrase a comment about it on reddit, than to “do writing” about the same topic. I often use one of my friends, Ditta as a white board, actually telling them, “I’m activating white board mode now”. :)
