Roland Allen, the author of “The Notebook: A History of Thinking on Paper,” said in his interview with Parker from ParkNotes that early note-taking tablets made of wood and beeswax had different uses for men and women.
Men usually used them for business, and women usually used them for art.
This reminds me of how the contribution of women to art was largely erased, by the patriarchy.
